Insurance losses from natural disasters are rising: last year they topped $100 billion globally for the fourth year in a row. While climate change means damage from hurricanes and wildfires are increasing, the bigger risk is thunderstorms and tornadoes. They are whipping through the suburban sprawl that has happened rapidly in sunbelt cities like Dallas-Fort Worth.
